My association with St Andrews began when my friend and former work colleague Jim McKee commissioned me to paint the view from his caravan overlooking the East Sands.
I completed my very large watercolour of the view in 2023 and started marketing limited edition prints of the painting.
The success of these has been staggering, with the print run of 100 copies now about to sell out. I decided to paint a watercolour of the even more famous West Sands (Chariots of Fire/ Golf Course.) This is now taking off as a print run too.
All this has inspired me to identify more locations around Britain that hit ‘the sweet spot’ as St Andrews has done.
