“It’s Brightening Up, Pett Level”.
This painting is of one of my favourite places when growing up – Cliff End, Pett Level, near Hastings, East Sussex.
I wanted to capture the timeless scene on a typical grey day when the sky shows some promise and the waves are breaking gently. I painted this watercolour for an exhibition and then decided to keep it until a Pett Level resident asked to buy it.
It’s one of my most popular paintings as a limited edition print.
