My friend Louise had already bought a few of my paintings and then she commissioned me to do this London street scene showing “Regent Street at Night”.
I relished the idea of a painting of a busy city view when the lights have come on and there is still a glow in the sky.
Watercolour would normally be thought of as unsuitable for such an intricate scene with contrasts of very dark and very bright sections so I loved the challenge of doing it.
It’s 49 cm x 49 cm and is available as a limited edition print.
